AMARANTE RESIDENCES

Set on a steeply sloping site, this multi-family residential building emerges from a careful reading of the topography and the surrounding urban context. The project embraces the natural inclination of the plot as a structuring element of the proposal, allowing the different floors to adapt organically and harmoniously to the terrain, ensuring a direct relationship between architecture, landscape and city.

The volumetry unfolds through successive stepped levels, following the natural slope of the land and creating a dynamic composition defined by generous, well-oriented balconies. These outdoor spaces extend the living areas, offering open views over the city of Amarante and fostering a strong connection between the interior of the dwellings and the exterior. The T2 and T3 typologies were designed to accommodate different ways of living, prioritising functionality, natural light, cross ventilation and privacy.

The building also incorporates a set of shared amenities that enhance the quality of life of its residents, including a gym and an outdoor swimming pool, conceived as natural extensions of the residential experience. These complementary spaces contribute to a more complete way of living, encouraging well-being, social interaction and contact with the outdoors.

Materiality plays a central role in the identity of the building. The use of noble materials such as wood and travertine lends character, durability and a timeless architectural expression, establishing a balanced dialogue with the built environment and the surrounding natural landscape. The restrained colour palette and the careful articulation of construction elements reinforce the elegance and sobriety of the overall composition.

More than a residential building, this project proposes a way of living that is deeply integrated with its setting, where topography, views and spatial quality converge to create a contemporary, comfortable residential experience that is closely connected to the context of Amarante.
