The root of the project.
The project proposes a new volume in a contemporary and minimalist language, marked by lightness, transparency, and formal purity. Its sculptural façade houses the reception, living, and social spaces, functioning as a central element of articulation between the two existing palaces.
Designed for a new audience associated with the concepts of charming hotels and boutique hotels, this volume establishes a direct relationship between interior and exterior, valuing the spatial experience and the experience of the place.
The historical buildings remain the focal point, with the new intervention acting as a mediating element and enhancing the overall ensemble. The entrance, with its scenographic character, asserts itself in relation to the city through a refined structure, where concrete, solids and voids, and transparency construct a new spatial dimension.
The proposal combines the architectural heritage of Marques da Silva with a distinct contemporary language, resulting in an intervention that respects the memory of the place and projects the complex into the future.
