A visionary development that combines modern architecture, sustainability and urban integration to transform the city of Leiria.
The root of the project.
The UrbanSupport project stems from a strategic vision for the revitalisation of the Quinta do Vale Sepal area in Leiria through the creation of a contemporary, innovative architectural complex that is deeply committed to urban sustainability. With a total investment of €25 million, the development is set to become a new hub for living, working and staying, capable of responding to the emerging dynamics of the city and the demands of a constantly changing market.
The proposal is organised into two communicating volumes, enveloped by a dynamic architectural skin that regulates solar incidence, preserves visual permeability and contributes to the energy performance of the complex. The connection between these volumes is ensured by a structural pala, which simultaneously assumes a functional and symbolic role, reinforcing the unitary reading of the project and promoting spatial cohesion.
The architectural programme includes a 108-room hotel, a coworking space with capacity for around 350 users, a 2,000 m² gym, various commercial areas and associated parking. In response to market analysis, the project also includes an alternative solution to coworking, through the introduction of residential studios, resulting in a total of 107 units, expanding the diversity of uses and audiences.
Sustainability is a key feature of UrbanSupport, through the implementation of rainwater harvesting systems, solar panels, photovoltaic glass, and the integration of green areas within the development. The selection of materials with a low ecological footprint and sun exposure control systems reinforce the energy efficiency and environmental comfort of the spaces.
At the centre of the complex, the Boulevard is the true heart of the project. This central axis separates and connects the volumes, functioning as an interior square where commerce, services and social areas intersect, promoting encounters, permanence and an active urban experience. Complementing this, the Terrace emerges as a collective outdoor space, designed as a garden and recreational area, while the Theatre extends the urban park into the interior of the building, blurring the boundaries between public and private space. The Belvedere, in turn, introduces a vertical dimension of contemplation, offering observation points and visual connections between the different levels of the complex.
Thus Horizon is born — not just as an architectural project, but as an integrated vision for a more sustainable, dynamic and balanced urban future, contributing decisively to the regeneration and enhancement of the city of Leiria.

Between volumes that interact, light travels across surfaces, filters through, casts shadows and creates atmospheres. Architecture is no longer just form, but becomes experience.
They pulsate like a living axis, where time slows down and paths cross. Here, the space invites you to stay, meet and share, in a subtle balance between movement and pause. Outside, it becomes a natural extension of living, a place to breathe where greenery softens the urban density and restores a human scale to the whole.
Horizon thus asserts itself as a new horizon for Leiria — a space where one lives, works and contemplates, where the present is built with awareness and the future is designed with intention.
